Baptism & Confirmation
Baptism is the way people can show they want to follow Jesus. We’ve hosted many baptisms and are always delighted to support anyone who wishes to make this great step. We also warmly welcome babies to be baptised (or ‘christened’).
If you were baptised as a child, the church encourages you to receive something called ‘confirmation’, once you are old enough to answer for yourself. Confirmation is where the bishop comes to church and prays for the person being confirmed to receive the Holy Spirit – the power of God to live for Jesus in daily life.
